Season 2 is underway. We have slowed our pace a bit compared to Season 1, but have some funny stuff in the hopper. Our commercial for Censor Pills has been up for a bit and coming up next is the first sketch in our series "Promos for TV Shows You Will Never See" titled "Bunny Hunters".
So.. how about the season premier last night.. Jack in a shark tank and Sawyer in a polar bear cage.. WHAAA?
Anyway.. Thanks for coming by and checking out our silly attempt at doing something to honor the greatest show on television. We had a blast. The behind the scenes video is pretty good -- it will be available on the website next Monday -- but you can get it now if you subscribe to the podcast feed*.

And what about that plane crash.. that rocked.
*shows will not come down this feed. It is for news only. There will also be updates on our blog.
We were featured on Yahoo!'s video page again this weekend. It is always fun to get a rush of new viewers. This time they put 'Suburban Fight Society' up. It is funny to go and read the comments from people who think we were really fighting.
The other video the featured was 'Samuelite Luggage' back in early September.
Our friends The Misdirected did a very funny election video for a guy named Jack Maimunkie. The whole bit was having people say "Vote for Maimunkie" and have it sound like "Vote for My Monkey". Very funny.
So -- we thought we would rip them off and do an attack ad against Jack Maimunkie and an image spot for his opponent Stan Fernandez. We aim to mildly amuse you.
Our first round of dating videos are up. A scary bunch of sexy singles indeed. Check 'em out and then call the number on the screen to hook up!
happy+middle SPORTS is looking for a 4th racer. Do you think you have what it takes?
Print out this race number (60K PDF) and take a photo or short video of your killer moves. Email Us the results and then look for yourself in a future podcast.
Get Racing!
We shot some dating videos last night. What a scary bunch of dates we would be! There are photos up on flickr of our cast of characters.
The videos will be released the week of Sept 4th, but entourage members will get an early look this weekend.
We just added our little show to the Podcast Pickle Directory. If you have a minute go over and add us to your favorites -- thanks a bunch!
What a wild weekend! In an attempt to be timely we decided to spend last weekend doing a few parodies of 'Snakes on a Plane'. The idea was to watch the movie on Friday night and then get together on Saturday for a writing/shooting/editing extravaganza [flickr photos].
We bit off a little more than we could chew; and Ted is one hell of a team player for getting 2 of the 4 sketches out for the Monday morning crowd. But the whole team worked very hard and I think it shows in the quality of the work. YEAH HAPPY!
Hey we did it! It was a lot of hard work from a great group of creative friends and we can't wait to see where we end up with our little comedy venture. Check back each week for new material -- or subscribe to our feed to get it automatically via podcast.
We gathered 'round Ted's computer last night to look at the final cuts of our Bios -- great work!
We also did some reworking of 'Suburban Fight Society'. That sketch was originally cut into 5 pieces with the idea that it would be a mini-series released over the span of a week. Well -- that looked stupid so we worked last night to edit it down into one solid sketch. We still need to add some music and punch up the ending.. but it is much better as one piece.
We also took a first look at our 'Race Day' footage -- it is gonna be good.
We filmed 'Race Day' tonight. It was pretty funny. I won't give the sketch away, but lets just say we got a lot of strange looks from the public. We used a track at the local YMCA to do the racing and even wore numbers pined to our shirts. Fun stuff.
And I don't want to spoil the ending... but Buffie had it coming!
We had a great night at happy+middle HQ. During a 2 hour work session we ironed out the release schedule through the end of October... and Anna and Ash managed to finish of the bucket of margaritas -- what a night!
Our plan is to shoot "Race Day" this afternoon if all goes to plan. It will feature the song 'Thick Skin' by the Stoodups (Ted's Band).
Reminder to self: Safety Pins, Streamers and Leg Warmers.
The Portland Heat Wave of 2006 has slowed us down a bit. We had to cancel a shoot this weekend because Buffie's wigs kept catching fire in the hot sun. We hope for a cool down this week -- with some more shooting on Thursday. Frick!
We shot cast bios today. We had a ton of fun going around to different locations and shooting little about the cast videos. You can see the videos by clicking on our faces in the cast section of the website. We also put together a pretty funny behind the scenes video; you can see that by clicking on our newest cast member -- Fluffy.
After a change of location and a run to the store for some gauze the shooting for Suburban Fight Society went off without a hitch. It was a blast to do and we can't wait for the entire project to be posted to the interweb.
By the way.. it was really hot in that garage!
Anybody have an eyepatch that Buffie can borrow? :)
We are working on the script for "Suburban Fight Society". The episode will be filmed on Saturday and we are all pretty excited to get going. I think Anna is just excited that she gets to bite someone.
I read on-line that happy+middle is giving away free pickle hats to the first 10 comments. I am so excited to get my free hat in the mail! But more excited for another episode. Very fun, folks. The chair was a great touch and the bruise was very authentic. Keep up the creativity and let me know if you need my full address for the pickle hat. :) Dominique

Really, free pickle hats? It's a good thing I joined the Entourage, so they know where to send it....

WOW! I haven't seen acting like that in twelve years, and I have missed it. Hashley would be proud! Wish I was there to laugh with you guys.

Hey! I was just wondering if this isn't working for anyone? Everytime I go to watch it, it never loads.

I can't load it either... *sniff*

I can't seem to load it. I just get a static aerial view of suburbia...no funny people.
